About KiteFishAI

KiteFishAI is an AI research lab building domain-specific and sovereign Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs).

As we scale our models and enterprise business, we are looking for a Data Science & GTM Analytics Intern to help us turn business and customer data into actionable insights.

About the Role

You will work at the intersection of data science, business analytics and sales. You will analyze customer, sales and product data to understand what is working, identify opportunities and help the team make better business decisions.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the founding and business teams and have the opportunity to build analytics processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain key business and sales metrics and dashboards
  • Analyze sales pipeline, customer acquisition, conversion and retention data
  • Identify trends, patterns and opportunities from business data
  • Analyze customer behavior and help identify potential expansion opportunities
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to understand why metrics change
  • Build reports and analyses to support sales and GTM decisions
  • Develop simple statistical models and forecasts for business planning
  • Analyze experiments and compare different sales, marketing and customer strategies
  • Work with large and messy datasets and help improve data quality
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Help establish data-driven processes for measuring KiteFishAI's commercial growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Understanding of basic statistics and probability
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data visualization
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analyses
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Curiosity to understand both the data and the business behind it

Preferred Experience

Prior professional data science experience is not required.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn or similar Python libraries
  • SQL databases and data extraction
  • Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar visualization tools
  • A/B testing and experimental design
  • Regression, forecasting or statistical modeling
  • Sales, marketing or customer analytics projects
  • Kaggle or other data science competitions
  • Building dashboards or analytics projects
  • Working with SaaS, B2B, AI or technology businesses
